I am talking to several boat owners and I may be able to extend the season for Star Island trips, but the boat will be much lower capacity. If I can, I will be running these trips based on weather patterns and not tied to weekends (following frontal movements, radar events etc). Thus trips may be put on at short notice. If anyone wants to be on the list for these (likely less than ten spots max), I will need a phone number where I can get you at short notice. There has not, to my knowledge, been any consistent coverage of the island in October due to access limitations. In fact, the birding can and should be even more exciting at this time. If I can pull this off, it will be the first of what I hope to be regular coverage during October and even into November. I am not running these to make money and will price them to break-even – I want to get out there as much as you and thus my reason for doing this.
